Professor Goret Pereira Paulo
Goret Pereira Paulo holds a PhD in Public Administration from the São Paulo School of Business Administration (EAESP), a Master’s in Economics from the Graduate School of Economics (EPGE) of Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), and a Bachelor’s in Economics from the Fluminense Federal University (UFF). She has substantial experience in the areas of gas and electricity and currently manages energy and infrastructure consultancy projects at FGV. She is the Director of the Applied Research and Knowledge Network at FGV and a National Contact Point for the European Commission, namely in the area of Science with and for Society and Inclusive, Innovative and Reflective Societies
Professor Matias Spektor
Professor Matias Spektor is an Associate Professor of International Relations at FGV. His research interests include the politics of foreign policy, strategic interaction in diplomatic communications, political corruption in world politics and, more broadly, international security and qualitative methods. He holds a doctorate from Oxford, and has held visiting positions at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, the Council on Foreign Relations, the LSE and King’s College London. He is also a regular commentator on Brazilian politics and foreign affairs through my weekly column at Folha de S. Paulo and other outlets such as the New York Times, the Financial Times and Foreign Affairs.
